Европейская комиссия пересмотрела свои прогнозы относительно роста экономики еврозоны в текущем и следующем году: новые оценки отражают более глубокое сокращение ВВП региона в 2020 году и слабое восстановление в 2021 году.


ЕК ожидает, что в 2020 году европейская экономика сократится на 8,7%, а не на 7,7%, как предполагалось ранее. В 2021 году ВВП еврозоны вырастет лишь на 6,1%, а не на 6,3%. Дело в том, что в последнем апрельском ежеквартальном отчете Еврокомиссия еще не учитывала данные истинного воздействия пандемии на объем производства в европейских странах.


Комиссия также отметила, что выходу Европы из рецессии мешает сильное пагубное влияние пандемии на экономику США и ключевых экспортных рынков (Латинскую Америку и Индию).
