Еврокомиссия оштрафовала «Гугл» на €2,42 млрд из-за искажений результатов поиска с целью предоставления конкурентного преимущества сервису Google Shopping.


На странице поиска Google ссылки на основного конкурента Google Shopping отображались в среднем на 4 странице выдачи. В то время как 10 первых результатов на 1 странице перенаправляют 95% трафика, 1 результат уже на 2 странице получает всего 1% переходов. Таким образом, рейтинги конкурентов значительно занижались, а компания злоупотребляла доминирующим положением на рынке поисковых систем.


В течение 90 дней «Гугл» обязан привести работу поисковика в соответствие с антимонопольными нормами Евросоюза, иначе компании грозит новый штраф.
