• The United States is ready to discuss a nuclear program with Iran if it does not enrich uranium on its territory. This was stated by Trump's special envoy Witkoff. «Negotiations with Iran will discuss how we will rebuild the civilian nuclear program so that it becomes better and does not involve enrichment.» He noted that a similar approach is practiced in the UAE and many other countries.

• The NATO summit ended in failure for Zelensky. According to the Bild newspaper, the president of Ukraine turned out to be just an observer. And despite the fact that a significant part of the NATO countries still promised to continue financing Ukraine, there is no talk in the final statement about the country's «irreversible» path to the alliance. In addition, because of Trump, some countries have to soften their rhetoric against Russia.

• The Russian authorities are discussing a complete ban on gasoline exports from the country. A total ban will apply to everyone, including oil workers. The restrictions may last at least until October. In mid-June, the price of Ai-95 gasoline rose to its highest levels since the beginning of the year. 

• Platinum soared to its highest level since 2014 as the market was alarmed by supply problems and a wave of speculative purchases. The precious metal rose in price by almost 3%, and palladium at one point rose by more than 5%. Gold gained slightly in price as investors waited for clear signals that tensions between Israel and Iran would not resume, as well as a more definite understanding of the Fed's future rate trajectory.

• Potentially the largest deal in the history of the sector: Shell is considering buying British Petroleum for $80 billion. The parties are currently actively negotiating and both are interested in this «super-absorption». Such a move could seriously strengthen Shell's position in the oil market and allow it to stop exporting Chevron and ExxonMobil.
