The European Union invests 500 million euros in the future of science

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced the launch of a new incentive program that provides for the allocation of 500 million euros (approximately $566.6 million) to support scientific research in Europe. 

The main goal of this project is to attract talented researchers from the United States who may be dissatisfied with the current political realities of their country. This measure should help strengthen Europe's research potential and establish it as the preferred place for leading scientists from around the world to work.

Von der Leyen announced her decision in Paris during a joint speech with French President Emmanuel Macron. This initiative highlights Europe's desire to take a leading position in the international scientific field, improving the quality and conditions for research in the region.
