Trump considers the purchase of Greenland as a strategic goal

US President-elect Donald Trump is showing serious interest in acquiring Greenland, seeing this as a step to strengthen US influence in the Western Hemisphere and consolidate his political legacy. 

He announced the possibility of using economic or diplomatic measures to achieve this goal after taking office on January 20.

A number of experts believe that Trump is unlikely to use military force to acquire the island, but he may use other instruments of pressure. The new president of America sees the expansion of the territory as a step that will go down in history, emphasizing that the United States has not acquired new territories since the incorporation of Alaska and Hawaii in 1959.

The priority of buying Greenland was included in the list of foreign policy goals compiled by senior officials after Trump's election victory. Analysts point out that this territorial expansion is a way to create a lasting legacy that will be remembered for generations.
