 
                                                                                    
                                 The S&P 500 started July with a record high (4,310.56) after the release of data on the number of applications for unemployment benefits. At the same time, shares of energy companies were supported by a sharp jump in oil prices (up to $76.71 per barrel). The leaders of growth among the main sectors of the S&P were energy, finance, industry and materials.
