Nvidia shares reached a historic high, gaining almost 3% and increasing the company's market capitalization to $4.5 trillion. Since the beginning of the year, the value of securities has increased by 39% due to the company's active entry into the artificial intelligence market and a series of significant transactions. Nvidia recently announced an investment of up to $100 billion in the AI startup OpenAI. The company also plans to build data centers equipped with its graphics processors, worth hundreds of billions of dollars. In partnership with Oracle, the Stargate project has been launched, which will create five data centers with a total cost of $500 billion. According to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, about 70% of the cost of creating an AI infrastructure comes from their chips. This prompted Citi to increase the company's stock price target from $200 to $210. An additional increase was provided by the agreement between the cloud operator CoreWeave (where Nvidia is a major shareholder) and Meta (recognized as an extremist organization in the Russian Federation) on the supply of AI infrastructure for $14.2 billion. In 2025, Nvidia shares are second only to Broadcom in terms of growth rates.
