Доходы стран-членов ОПЕК от экспорта нефти составили $445,7 млрд в 2016 году, на 13,2% меньше, чем в предыдущем.
 
При том, что объем экспорта «черного золота» увеличился на 6,5%, до 25 млн баррелей в сутки. Общий объем экспорта стран, входящих в организацию, снизился на 7,9%, импорта – на 9,2%.
 
Представители ОПЕК на саммите 25 мая в Вене продлили соглашение об ограничении добычи нефти до 31 марта 2018 года, чтобы стабилизировать цены на мировом рынке. Члены организации обязались снизить уровень добычи на 1,2 млн баррелей в сутки.
