Nvidia вложит $5 млрд в Intel для совместной разработки чипов

Американская Nvidia Corp. инвестирует $5 млрд в конкурирующую Intel Corp., чтобы совместно разрабатывать процессоры для персональных компьютеров и центров обработки данных (ЦОД).

Nvidia приобретет акции Intel по цене $23,28 за штуку, тогда как накануне они закрылись на уровне $24,9. На премаркете бумаги Intel подскочили на 29%, Nvidia – на 2,9%.

По условиям соглашения Intel займется созданием специализированных чипов для интеграции в AI-платформы Nvidia и разработки решений для ПК. Использование мощностей Intel для производства чипов Nvidia в контракте не предусмотрено.

Ранее стало известно, что США приобрели 10% акций Intel, что подчеркивает ее стратегическую значимость.
