Генеральный директор Danske Bank, крупнейшего коммерческого банка Дании, Томас Борген, в среду, 19 сентября, ушел в отставку после публикации итогов расследования об отмывании денег.

Danske Bank опубликовал итоги расследования, из которых следует, что Т. Борген и совет директоров «не нарушили правовые обязательства по отношению к Danske Bank». Председатель совета директоров Оле Андерсен заявил, что также хотел оставить должность, но совет директоров попросил его продолжить работу.

По итогам расследования руководство банка приняло ряд мер в отношении нескольких сотрудников: предупреждения, лишение бонусов, увольнения и уведомление властей страны.

После публикации отчета стоимость акций Danske Bank (DANSKE) достигла минимальных значений с июля 2016 года, притом что за последние полгода они подешевели почти на треть из-за опасений инвесторов о возможном расследовании властей США.
