ФРС США обсуждает условия для снижения ставок

Чиновники Федеральной резервной системы (ФРС) США начали рассмотрение возможных условий для снижения базовой процентной ставки.

Согласно источникам The Wall Street Journal, на данный момент смягчение монетарной политики обсуждается чисто теоретическим и снижение ставок не будет рассматриваться на следующем заседании FOMC 30 апреля.

При этом замедление темпов роста цен на потребительские товары на фоне текущего подъема экономики страны и сохранения уровня инфляции вблизи целевого уровня 2% может подтолкнуть Федрезерв всерьез задуматься над снижением ставок.

Председатель Федерального резервного банка Чикаго Чарльз Эванс считает, что при удержании инфляция ниже 2% укажет на то, что текущий курс кредитно-денежной политики является сдерживающим для экономического роста. Вместе с тем, чиновник ожидает в ближайшие годы ускорения инфляции, которое может подтолкнуть к дальнейшему ужесточению политики центробанка.

Председатель ФРС Джером Пауэлл также заявил, что текущий цикл экономического роста, которые продолжается последние 10 лет не завершен, а обозначенные цели по инфляции пока не были достигнуты.
