ЕС и Индонезия договорились о торговом соглашении

Европейский союз и Индонезия завершили многолетние торговые переговоры, что позволит ЕС расширить цепочки поставок и снизить зависимость от США.

Официальное подписание будет объявлено 23 сентября во время визита главы внешнеторгового ведомства ЕС Мароша Шефчовича в Джакарту. Для вступления договора в силу потребуется одобрение парламентов обеих сторон.

Соглашение станет частью масштабной стратегии ЕС по диверсификации торговых партнеров: Брюссель уже активизировал переговоры с Индией, странами Юго-Восточной Азии, а также завершил сделку с блоком МЕРКОСУР.

Индонезия, крупнейшая экономика региона с населением 300 млн человек, представляет для ЕС перспективный рынок и источник сырья. Однако отношения осложняли экологические правила ЕС, ограничивающие импорт продукции, связанной с вырубкой лесов, включая пальмовое масло и кофе.
