According to Eurostat, in June 2025, oil imports by the European Union countries decreased by about 11% compared to May and reached the lowest level in the entire history of observations – about 236 million barrels. The annual decline was 9%. In monetary terms, shipments decreased to €15.3 billion, which is 8% less than a month earlier and almost 27% lower than last year's level, the lowest level in the last four years. The largest importers of oil in June were: Germany – 32.2 million barrels, Italy – 29.4 million barrels, Spain – 28.2 million barrels, France – 25.5 million barrels, Poland – 13 million barrels. According to the results of the first half of 2025, total oil imports to the EU amounted to about 1.5 billion barrels, which is 7% less than in the same period last year.
