Zisková marže automobilky BMW ve 2. čtvrtletí zaostala za prognózou

Společnost BMW vykázala ve druhém čtvrtletí nižší ziskovou marži ve svém hlavním automobilovém segmentu, než se očekávalo, a jako faktory uvedla zvýšenou konkurenci a slabší poptávku v Číně. Marže zisku před úroky a zdaněním (EBIT) v automobilovém segmentu BMW klesla na 8,4 % z 9,2 % v meziročním srovnání a zaostala tak za očekáváním analytiků, kteří očekávali 8,7 %. Výrobce luxusních automobilů tento neuspokojivý výsledek přičítá vysokým investicím, zejména do modernizace modelů a elektromobilů. I přes tento neúspěch BMW zachovalo svůj výhled pro rok 2024, ačkoli očekává mírný pokles zisku před zdaněním kvůli vyšším nákladům souvisejícím s výzkumem a vývojem, výrobou a personálem. Společnost také vyjádřila optimismus, že se ekonomická situace v Číně ve třetím čtvrtletí stabilizuje.
