The Grok chatbot will appear on Telegram: a $300 million deal

Telegram users will be able to use the Grok chatbot created by Elon Musk's xAI this summer. Pavel Durov announced the conclusion of an annual partnership that will strengthen the financial position of the messenger. Telegram will receive $300 million in cash and equity from xAI, as well as 50% of the revenue from xAI subscriptions issued through the platform.

Grok is intended as a competitor to ChatGPT, but offers a freer communication style and less censorship. The chatbot is closely integrated with the Xmas social network and learns from the content of its users.

Telegram is demonstrating business success: for the first time in its history, the company has made an annual profit. In 2024, revenue was $1.4 billion and net profit was $540 million. In 2025, it is planned to increase these figures to $2 billion and $720 million, respectively.
