Сегодня главы правительств всех 27 стран Евросоюза встречаются в Брюсселе, чтобы обсудить предложенный Еврокомиссией фонд восстановления. План стимулирования в размере 750 млрд евро разделил союз, так как одни страны отчаянно нуждаются в деньгах после пандемии Covid-19, тогда как другие – придерживаются консервативной финансовой политики и отказываются предоставлять гранты.

Переговоры, которые займут два дня, будут трудными и могут не дать никаких результатов. Многие эксперты ожидают, что решение будет перенесено на следующий саммит. Кроме того, главы правительств примут решение о бюджете ЕС на ближайшие несколько лет.

Несмотря на разногласия между государствами Евросоюза курс евро торгуется в области 4-месячных максимумов по отношению к доллару США.
