Сегодня США и Китай официально возобновили торговые переговоры на высочайшем уровне. Вице-премьер КНР Ли Кэцян прибыл в США, где будет вести прямые переговоры с министром финансов США Стивом Мнучином и торговым представителем Дональда Трампа Робертом Лайтхайзером.

Торговый конфликт между двумя крупнейшими экономиками мира продолжается более года, и рынки во всем мире испытывают на себе негативные последствия.

Китайская сторона оказалась в затруднительном положении. Правительство КНР неоднократно осуждало тарифную политику США и заявляло, что никогда не подпишет соглашение, которое вредит китайским интересам, а это противоречит некоторым требованиям США.

При этом, если двум сторонам не удастся достичь соглашения, Китай со следующей недели столкнется с пошлинами практически на все товары, которые экспортирует в США.

Кроме того, на этой неделе США добавили в свой список Entity List 28 китайских компаний, запретив им покупать американские товары и технологии. Американские власти также добавили новые визовые ограничения для китайских чиновников. Подобные шаги накануне переговоров, скорее всего, были восприняты китайской стороной как очень плохое начало.

В случае провала переговоров следует ожидать массового бегства инвесторов в безопасные активы.
