The central bank also improved forecasts for unemployment and GDP growth for the current year, slightly raising expectations for inflation. In addition, the regulator allowed the possibility of raising the rate before the end of the year. According to surveys, 62% of analysts expect an increase to 5.25-5.5% at the meeting to be held on July 25-26. The number of initial applications for unemployment benefits for the week ended June 10 remained at the level of the previous week, amounting to 262 thousand.
