Великобритания приостановила торговые переговоры с Израилем

Великобритания решила временно приостановить переговоры с Израилем, касающиеся соглашения о свободной торговле, на фоне проводимой израильской армией военной операции в секторе Газа. Этот шаг был озвучен главой британского МИД Дэвидом Лэмми во время его выступления в Палате общин парламента.


Министр отметил, что решение о приостановке переговоров связано с действиями правительства Израиля, возглавляемого Биньямином Нетаньяху. По его словам, израильский премьер-министр препятствует доставке гуманитарной помощи в Газу и наращивает масштабы военных действий в этом регионе. В этой связи Лэмми подчеркнул, что Лондон не может оставаться в стороне от происходящего. 


Кроме того, он сообщил о планах вызвать в британский Форин-офис посла Израиля в Великобритании, Ципи Хотовели, для обсуждения сложившейся ситуации.
