В России создадут уникальный биобанк

16 мая во Владивостоке состоится открытие уникального для России биобанка, в котором будут собраны все видовые образцы ихтиофауны Тихого океана. Это хранилище будет принадлежать Национальному научному центру морской биологии Дальневосточного отделения РАН. 

Морской биобанк – это ультрасовременное криохранилище, предназначенное для хранения, изучения и использования биообразцов в научных целях. Современные технологии и оборудование позволяют сохранять биообразцы при любых температурах и осуществлять исследования генома морских биологических видов. Детальное изучение и научная деятельность специалистов биобанка помогут предотвратить исчезновение видов, находящихся на грани вымирания. 

На открытии научного центра во вторник пройдет открытый семинар, на котором будут представлены автоматизированные системы хранилища. Ведущие российские ученые, биологи и преподаватели поделятся с посетителями своими знаниями.
