Президент США Дональд Трамп сообщил, что начиная со следующей недели американские власти начнут депортировать миллионы нелегальных иммигрантов с территории страны.

В данный момент в США нелегально проживают 12 миллионов иммигрантов, в основном это граждане Мексики и Центральной Америки.

Ранее, в этом месяце, между Мексикой и США было достигнуто соглашение, согласно которому Мексика будет принимать иммигрантов из Центральной Америки, ищущих убежище в США, на время рассмотрения их дел в американских судах.

Мексиканские власти также пообещали развернуть войска Национальной гвардии на подступах к американской границе, чтобы остановить поток иммигрантов из Центральной Америки.

Со своей стороны, Вашингтон отказался от идеи повышение тарифов на экспорт мексиканских товаров в США.
